3 I pretty much agree with you in regards to themes. Without strict
4 rules, we can suddenly have floods of ~300 theme ebuilds and they'll
5 all get added to the tree. I'd suggest another exception:

7 #3 It's ok to add themes to Portage if they are part of an official
8 theme collection for a particular package. That way we have all the
9 official themes - everything else would be up to the user to install.

11 Portage was really designed for executable software, not for arbitrary
12 collections of binary data (themes, ezines, etc.) Not that
13 collecting/indexing those things is bad, just not really what Portage
14 is aimed at.
