Hi all, |
2 |
|
3 |
For those not following council meeting discussions, I volunteered to |
4 |
help new devs join the games herd/team in order to foster discussion |
5 |
about its future path and move towards electing a more active team lead |
6 |
in a month or so. |
7 |
|
8 |
Just to make things clear, although I'm currently in the games herd I |
9 |
have no interest or time to be lead and don't work regularly enough on |
10 |
games in Gentoo for that to make any sense. I just want to help bring in |
11 |
new devs that feel left out from the current, often unresponsive team to |
12 |
aid development. |
13 |
|
14 |
I imagine several potentially interested devs will want to change some |
15 |
current game policies (such as seen in [1]) before they consider joining |
16 |
so there may be a chicken and egg situation. However, anyone interested |
17 |
in games on Gentoo should either respond here or ping me on IRC and I'll |
18 |
try to organize things. |
19 |
|
20 |
Finally, I don't want non-devs and the community at large to feel left |
21 |
out either so hopefully discussions can include more on reviewing |
22 |
contributions, overlays, and other ways for the community to interact |
23 |
positively. I know this has been brought up in several previous threads |
24 |
(such as [2]), but most of them seemed to trail off without any firm |
25 |
resolution or guidance for interested community members. |
26 |
|
27 |
Thanks, |
28 |
Tim |
