3 I'm in favor of cascading profiles, but the current implementation
4 needs some improvement:

6 - Guidelines for changing inherited profiles.
7 - An improved inheritance design: A generic (non-linux) base profile
8 and more specialized sub-profiles.
9 - The Base profile requires virtuals to be installed that are only
10 declared in subclasses (virtual/dev-manager). No tool to QA these
11 things.
