Honestly, id never contacted anyone. I happened to run across TTimo's |

posts on www.linuxgames.com right around the same time that a bug was |

filed in Bugzilla. There has really been no "official" statement of any |

kind from Splash Damage, id Software, or Activision. Because of this, |

you can essentially consider my actions "proactive" in removing the |
18 |
problem before any "official" response or request was done. I feel |
19 |
things were carried out very poorly by posting this sort of thing to a |
20 |
public forum rather than coming to us directly, which is why I have |
21 |
chosen to simply remove the problem pending further discussion. |
