Sometimes its not a matter of being ignored, its a matter of time |
50 |
constraints. Gentoo developers are volunteers, and even with new devs on |
51 |
a fairly regular basis, there aren't necessarily enough devs to take on |
52 |
every new piece of software while still properly maintaining existing |
53 |
packages... I also have some ebuilds idling in bugzilla, but priorities |
54 |
lie with making sure existing packages are performing as intended, and |
55 |
bugs are being handled in an effective manner for said packges. Taking |
56 |
on a new package is ineveitably increasing the demands of the often (if |
57 |
not always) strained developer. On a side note, you could always |
58 |
utilize the proper channels to become a dev... Even if you only maintain |
59 |
your own packages, it would hopefully ensure that those packages are of |
60 |
the highest quality, and squashing a few bugs on the side never hurts :) |
61 |

62 |
Cheers |

PS: I'm not saying your package or any other isn't worth the time of the |
66 |
developers, there's often just not enough time to go around. |
