49 Sometimes its not a matter of being ignored, its a matter of time
50 constraints. Gentoo developers are volunteers, and even with new devs on
51 a fairly regular basis, there aren't necessarily enough devs to take on
52 every new piece of software while still properly maintaining existing
53 packages... I also have some ebuilds idling in bugzilla, but priorities
54 lie with making sure existing packages are performing as intended, and
55 bugs are being handled in an effective manner for said packges. Taking
56 on a new package is ineveitably increasing the demands of the often (if
57 not always) strained developer. On a side note, you could always
58 utilize the proper channels to become a dev... Even if you only maintain
59 your own packages, it would hopefully ensure that those packages are of
60 the highest quality, and squashing a few bugs on the side never hurts :)

65 PS: I'm not saying your package or any other isn't worth the time of the
66 developers, there's often just not enough time to go around.
