If you're sticking with a stable kernel branch, especially a longterm |

one, make oldconfig is about all there is to it - most likely you |

won't get even a single prompt. If you're paranoid you can read the |

changes, but they're called stable for a reason. When you move |

between branches then there is of course more work. |
