Get a mail client with line wrapping please :P

My suggestions:

1) Completly block emails with attachments (exclude gpg signatures, they 
can be attached too), a mailing list doesnt need this. Logs can be 
inline, binaries can be uploaded.

2) Mails with attachments have to be moderator approved

3) Make an attachment whitelist and block all other mails

4) Only allow gpg signed mails
