8 Sadly, not the case. See, ./configure doesn't parallelise *at all*, and
9 some packages either override make to not run in parallel (because the
10 ebuild maintainer is too lazy to fix buggy upstream makefiles) or
11 because the source files have lots of dependencies. So, it depends
12 pretty much entirely upon the package as to how SMP affects it.
