1 |
Greetings again. |
2 |
|
3 |
I have completed the CVS migration. |
4 |
|
5 |
The new server is now in DNS as cvs.gentoo.org, and has the IP |
6 |
128.193.0.34. It is also available as eagle.gentoo.org. The DNS changes |
7 |
should take at most 12 hours from now to propagate. |
8 |
|
9 |
For SSH on the machine, here are the fingerprints: |
10 |
The RSA key fingerprint is: |
11 |
59:24:87:31:91:94:57:92:1d:ae:93:ae:78:25:88:0c. |
12 |
The DSA key fingerprint is: |
13 |
d9:60:8e:13:6a:c4:7d:50:0a:d4:16:42:aa:1e:31:59 |
14 |
|
15 |
For using the machine, you MUST use SSH2 (v1 protocol is _not_ |
16 |
accepted) and authenticate with a key. Both DSA and RSA keys are |
17 |
accepted. Password authentication is disabled. |
18 |
|
19 |
To get your key onto the system, simply upload like you would normally |
20 |
for dev.gentoo.org, and the system will take a copy of it from there |
21 |
sometime at most 12 hours after you upload it. |
22 |
|
23 |
I strongly advise you to turn off compression in both your SSH session |
24 |
and your CVS settings. This is simply due to the fact that while we have |
25 |
a lot of bandwidth available to us, we don't have much CPU power. The |
26 |
new cvs server IS slower than the old box. You will almost certainly get |
27 |
faster updates with compression turned off than on. |
28 |
|
29 |
If everybody with access could please test out their accounts, and if it |
30 |
isn't working, please file a bug and assign it directly to me. |
31 |
