Hi all, |
2 |
|
3 |
as a consequence of the full profile tree going EAPI=5 (as announced earlier), |
4 |
1) the long-deprecated 10.0 profiles make no sense anymore and have been |
5 |
removed |
6 |
2) the separate eapi-5-files directory makes no sense anymore. |
7 |
|
8 |
I've increased the EAPI in profiles/base to 5, and added stable.mask/force |
9 |
files there. |
10 |
|
11 |
Now I have a request... PLEASE: |
12 |
|
13 |
*** If you have in the past added an entry in profiles/eapi-5- |
14 |
files/package.use.stable.mask, please migrate it to |
15 |
profiles/base/package.use.stable.mask *** |
16 |
|
17 |
i.e. add the entry in the second location and remove it afterwards in the |
18 |
first location. |
19 |
|
20 |
I have not just copied the whole file over, since base is at a different point |
21 |
in the inheritance order of the profiles and I want to avoid subtle breakage. |
22 |
(Especially if the mask is lifted somewhere else, interacts with a file in |
23 |
another profile directory, etc bla bla... but that is something that *you* who |
24 |
made the mask entry should know.) |
25 |
|
26 |
Objective is that profiles/eapi-5-files/package.use.stable.mask becomes |
27 |
"empty" and the whole profiles/eapi-5-files directory can afterwards be |
28 |
removed. |
29 |
|
30 |
Thanks a lot & cheers, |
31 |
Andreas |
