| 2 | i am updating the riotutil-1.3.3 ebuild script so that it utilizes patches to the rio500 kernel module with a local use flag. this process involves overwriting files in /usr/src/linux/drivers/usb and rebuilding and installing the module. i have looked at various other ebuilds that create kernel modules (ie nvidia, etc) for assistance but can find none that patch kernel src files. ideally this patch should be part of the kernel src, but i dont even know where to start submitting kernel patches. thanks for any and all help! |
