12 Agreed .. the devmanual doesn't expand a lot on this, and many of the
13 other ebuild variables A, S, etc and how to properly use them.

15 The 'emake' statement is part of default phases in EAPI5+ so this
16 may/should(?) not appear in newer ebuilds I would have thought, but
17 perhaps someone could clarify on this.
