[gentoo-dev] A suggestion

After going through the gentoo-user list, and reading some of the threads, and what was a minor concern of mine was the length of time required for an install over a dialup. Obviously the initial install is going to be considerably longer than updates, however, I would like to offer the following suggestion: have the process fork along the way, so the gentoo install continues to download the required package dependencies, while the system is being compiled.
