9 It's not. It's the union of the (upstream) driver's names in lcdproc and
10 lcd4linux. Those devices that are supported by both programs had the
11 lcdproc name staying and the lcd4linux one cut.

13 It's also hard to standardise the names as some of the drivers are not
14 actual devices (as curses or X11) while others stand for a whole family
15 of devices or can talk to several different devices depending on the
16 user configuration.
