Build building issues etc. |
2 |
========================== |
3 |
|
4 |
initially I've had NO success with build-1.0_rc5-r2, then I took the |
5 |
"standard" approach, and JUST uncommented the relevant |
6 |
CPU parts in make.conf, and so far it's working for me on K6 & Athlon |
7 |
and PIII (To be specific, a Dell 2450 + RAID and a Dell 2400). |
8 |
|
9 |
Sofar I've had sucess with adding the 3dnow flag, and also some of |
10 |
the X based flags, ie. gtk etc. |
11 |
|
12 |
The things I've noticed: |
13 |
Donr't mess with the nls use flag or anything else that might have |
14 |
some reference in perl5 (ie. gdbm, db) or glibc (nls as an example) as |
15 |
those two have been seen as the biggest hassles as they broke in |
16 |
spectacular fashions for me (No, I didn't yet had the time to |
17 |
troubleshoot, as I needed to get those machine running :() |
