1 I would really like to see a separation of system packages from optional
2 packages. The ~arch flags should only apply to system packages. There
3 should be an option to easily install the latest reasonable non-system
4 packages. Currently, trying to mix stable with ~ causes emerge -u world to
5 become a nightmare if you have many ~ packages installed. Manually updating
6 the world file is a pain and unwieldy if you lucky enough to be maintaining
7 many servers.
