We had no developers that handled NNTP related packages. The packages were
maintained on a volunteer base by various developers. I've recently set up
the net-news that will take care of these packages. The inn security issue
and version bump is being handled in bug #29020, see
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29020. And there is alread a new
ebuild submitted. Once I've done with the current stuff, I'll get to the
inn issue.

As makedbz is only used for creating the history file for inn, I think
that /usr/lib/news/bin might be the better place. But this depends on
personal preference.

I'm redirecting this to the dev mailing list, as portage-dev is only for
portage related discussion.
