[gentoo-dev] Real-Time Streaming Protocol security bug (affects MPlayer and xine-lib)

We need to get this bug resolved and marked stable.  There is an open
security vulnerability that allows remote execution of arbitrary code.

There seem to be a number of problems on sparc and amd64, with additional
problems reported on x86 from at least one user.

This bug is rated as a high vulnerability and has been outstanding for
nearly a month now.  I'd like to see if we can get it fully resolved in the
next 48 hours so I don't have to security mask it.
