[gentoo-dev] laptop install

I have a new HP pavillion ze5000 laptop.  I want to install Gentoo from the 
live disk, but the keyboard does not function once the disk is booted.  I'm 
assuming that it doesn't configure the laptop keyboard correctly.  Is there a 
workaround for this?
