1 I've tried a number of things (changing optimizations, USE variables, changed the ebuild, etc)
2 many different ways, but nothing seems to work :-/ The whole problem started after I
3 installed X, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I think i might just do a manual
4 build myself from the distribution source tarballs to see if the ebuild is doing something
5 wierd that might be causing some problems. Of course it could just be another damn gcc 3.1
6 bug (should have never switched) which seem to be cropping up left right and center on my
7 machine...
