Hi! |

|
3 |
I there a standard operating procedure (SOP) for tarballs that don't |
4 |
have version numbers. For example, I have been assigned Bug# 480 (see |
5 |
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480 ). The ebuild is relatively |
6 |
straight forward, however there is no version included in the tarball |
7 |
name. I know that in the past, gentoo developers have added a |
8 |
appropriate version number to the tarball that goes into the Gentoo |
9 |
archive, for example see x11-misc/gkrellm-gnome. Is this still the |
10 |
standard practice? |

|
12 |
I would like to clear this bug. The submitted ebuild was for version |
13 |
1.0, but I will commit version 1.1 which has been enhanced to play nice |
14 |
with pipes. |

Thanks for the help, |
