This is not true: amavisd-new does not obsolete amavis. I have made |

several cases for the removal of the amavis ebuild, but it is still a |

legitimate package. Indeed, there is now an "amavis-ng" which is a vast |

improvement and is actively maintained. Even "amavis" itself has been |

worked on fairly recently. |

I really do not want to maintain amavis, nor amavis-ng. I spend enough |

time on amavisd-new. I would like to remove "amavis" from portage because |

of the awful state of its ebuild, but I do not want to remove it with |

everyone thinking that amavisd-new obsoletes it. This is not the case. I |

believe we also have some users depending on "amavis." |
