I have a question about the update functionality in portage. |

I have merged kde ( "emerge kde" ). "kde-base/kde" is listed in my world |

favorites. |

If one of the libraries that kde depends on are updated, |
| 9 |
shouldn't "emerge --update world" update the library ??? |

Here a real example: |

"kde" depend on "kdemultimedia" |
| 14 |
"kdemultimedia" depend on "esound" |
| 15 |
|
| 16 |
On portage is a new version of esound. |
| 17 |
( installed 0.2.24, available 0.2.25 ) |
| 18 |
|
| 19 |
"emerge --update world" shows nothing..... |
| 20 |
|
| 21 |
Is this ok ? |
