[gentoo-dev] pcmcia boot disk

i can't get the pcmcia boot disk to boot.  both the normal rescue disk and the 
net versions boot fine.
here is the message i get:
read_super_block: can't find a reiserfs filesystem on dev 02:00
read_old_super_block: try to find super block in old location
read_old_super_block: can't find a reiserfs filesystem on dev 02:00.
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 02:00

wish i could get it working, i want to install gentoo on my laptop.
