8 icc version 8.1 can also use Intel's Dinkumware C++ library. It is
9 included with the compiler and can be accessed by the -cxxlib_icc
10 (IIRC) options. The default is to link with the GCC library though.

12 AFAIK Intel is removing this option for the upcoming version 9 of the
13 product so that it will depend on GCC being installed.
