Except that you're assuming all USE flags have a package that goes with them |

here... For ALSA, alsa-lib may work, but for USE flags such as cdr or nocd, |

there is no one package that would be depended on to rebuild applications. |

Further, if the packages originally were compiled without the alsa USE flag, |

they would not be depending on it and thus would not be rebuilt. |

Such functionality would require special treatment for USE flags, and probably |

wouldn't work too well with packages that don't use the system's default USE |

flags. |
