while we have taken a lot of time and called for feedback repeatedly, in the |

December 2015 meeting the council has decided (among other things, see [1]) |

* that /usr/games and /etc/games should not be used anymore |
| 6 |
* that games.eclass should not be used anymore |
| 7 |
* that games.eclass may not provide support for EAPI=6 |
| 8 |

This is to announce that starting with the next portage release, repoman will |
| 10 |
consider games.eclass deprecated and issue a QA warning if it is used in an |
| 11 |
ebuild. |
