When I tried 2.11.92.0.12.3, it broke the 2.4.16 kernel compile. I did a bit |

of research and found that this is due to a bug in the kernel build process |

that previous versions of binutils would ignore, and is fixed in 2.4.17. I |

created a new linux-sources-2.4.16-r2 ebuild that *will* compile with |

2.11.92.0.12.3, fixing the only known "problem" with this version of binutils. |

I also created a new rev of the binutils packages, 2.11.92.0.12.3-r1, which |

contains all the man pages and info pages, and made 2.11.92.0.12.3 the default |

binutils for Gentoo Linux. This is a bit risky since I haven't had a chance to |

bootstrap with this binutils yet, but I think it should work for us. |
