[gentoo-dev] Gnome 2 ebuild maintainance

Hello folks,
  as an effort to reduce the pain in the upcoming Gnome 2 final release
stage well have a small transit period where we update the ebuilds to
use the "new" mirror:// function for SRC_URI

The reason is quite simple, when the Gnome 2 stuff moves around in the
ftp servers for their final settlement we dont want to update 80+
packages with new revisions or versions. that would be a lot of
unnecessary work for all parts involved, instead we're smoothly moving
to the form:

mirror://gnome/sources/${PN}/${P}.tar.bz2 

and defining the "pre-gnome2" section in the mirror statement.
this will allow a nice transit when the final release is done, and
should prove useful for supporting the Gnome mirror systems (I'm going
to update those as soon as I get an official list of them)


please heed this when you update an ebuild where you find "pre-gnome2"
in SRC_URI
