7 Why? This would mean that all fonts must be regenerated each time the
8 package is built. And it doesn't even help if they are already present
9 in /var/cache/fonts, since the directory is then also ignored for
10 reading.

12 And Metafont can be quite expensive in computing time. That's why
13 there is a font cache, in the first place. ;-)
