Sometimes, a package needs to add configuration lines for devfsd. For |

example when adding modem support. Currently, on Gentoo, this must be |

done by editing /etc/devfsd.d, which is inconvenient and brittle. |

If instead /etc/devfsd.conf contained a line: |

INCLUDE /etc/devfs.d |

then packages could simply add configuration files to directory |

/etc/devfs.d in just the same way that this is done, say, for |

/etc/modules.d |

is this a bad idea? if not, should it be added to gentoo? |
