Hello, |
5 |
|
6 |
I did a reinstall recently and during the process I noticed something |
7 |
that might be classed as a bug, or atleast as an omission, from |
8 |
dependency checking. |
9 |
|
10 |
I was trying to install a package which arived zipped, but unzip was not |
11 |
installed on the system and it failed. Is it possible to make portage |
12 |
check that the tools it needs to do it's thang are available and install |
13 |
them if not? |
14 |
|
15 |
I immediately spotted the problem and emerged unzip, but a newer user |
16 |
might not, and it's not really something that should be their problem to |
17 |
deal with anyway, is it? |
18 |
|
19 |
Cheers, |
20 |
|
21 |
Andy |
