Just typing "emerge" that second time won't do it. Try emerging Portage |

one more time; the *new* emerge will regenerate GNU info directories after |

a merge. Since you haven't actually merged something with the new emerge |

yet, the GNU info generation step hasn't been completed. |

The next time you merge, you should see some informational output at the |

end of the emerge telling you that the info dir has been regenerated. |
