| 3 | This is probably mostly for drobbins, since he packaged binutils. |

| 5 | Why does the ebuild not have --enable-shared by default (we could turn it |
| 6 | off if USE static is in effect) ? Some programs, such as jrockit (a |
| 7 | commercial JVM) depends on libbfd.so which is not compiled without |
| 8 | --enabled-shared. |

| 10 | If there is no particular reason for this, I'll add it and append -r1 to |
| 11 | the very latest binutils (.27), unless you drobbins want to. |
