A couple of CD images are available from http://gentoo.org/~christoph.

They have the following features:
1. Boot fully functional gentoo system.
2. Hardware detection and driver loading
3. Start up Web Browser (links in graphics mode) on local web server.
4. Menu driven installation

CDs contain a full development enviroment so that any software can be
build and a rich set of tools for diagnostics and configuration. If X is
supported then the X server can be autoconfigured. Accessing web content
is possible from links. Most webpages are rendered with graphics. Links
can be used to research information you might need to fix driver and
installation issues.

All software can be either run off the CD or be installed without building
from source (build for Pentium). Installing a complete Gentoo system takes
10 minutes. System can be later optimized by editing make.conf and
rebuilding components.
