3 libtool on osx is completely messed up. there's a systematic approach that
4 the fink guys take with this stuff and i think that if someone were to
5 write into ebuild.sh a little code checking the os type/or arch var and
6 then apply a patch to libtool [ basically, fink's patch ] most of the
7 compile-time issues could be resolved.

9 i've also found a list of tars for the software that comes with darwin.
10 i'd like to make ebuilds of that stuff and i'm having problems
11 categorizing them. they already exist in portage but, the copies i found
12 off the apple site are "apple approved" versions.

14 i was thinking of maybe doing a couple of packages for
15 sys-libs and for software in darwin that is redundant [ like packages for
16 gcc, etc ] i was going to make special ebuilds with the following the
17 gentoo format but, including a -macos before the release number.
