hey everyone, |
2 |
|
3 |
libtool on osx is completely messed up. there's a systematic approach that |
4 |
the fink guys take with this stuff and i think that if someone were to |
5 |
write into ebuild.sh a little code checking the os type/or arch var and |
6 |
then apply a patch to libtool [ basically, fink's patch ] most of the |
7 |
compile-time issues could be resolved. |
8 |
|
9 |
i've also found a list of tars for the software that comes with darwin. |
10 |
i'd like to make ebuilds of that stuff and i'm having problems |
11 |
categorizing them. they already exist in portage but, the copies i found |
12 |
off the apple site are "apple approved" versions. |
13 |
|
14 |
i was thinking of maybe doing a couple of packages for |
15 |
sys-libs and for software in darwin that is redundant [ like packages for |
16 |
gcc, etc ] i was going to make special ebuilds with the following the |
17 |
gentoo format but, including a -macos before the release number. |
