OpenEmbedded has been working on something like this already. They have |

a somewhat working portage. Most of their programs build under GCC |

3.1/3.2. Chris Larson, kergoth in #OpenEmbedded, and his team are doing |

some good work on this. Might wanna chat with him if this is similar |
| 5 |
project. His team is using BitKeeper to manage their developement files, |
| 6 |
but can be viewed at http://openembedded.bkbits.net/ and some info at |
| 7 |
http://openembedded.org. Might be helpfull, never know. He tends to be |
| 8 |
irritated with people at times. |
