Bylaw amendment: Trustee Qualification |

As per bylaw Article X (Amendment), the Trustees have approved a motion |

on June 18th, 2017, to amend the bylaws, as follows: |

> Article V (Trustees), Section 5.2. Qualification: |
| 15 |
> ADD |

> Candidates standing for election must be active Gentoo Developers |
| 17 |
> as of the record date. |

As per Article X, this email shall serve as the required notice of bylaw |
| 20 |
amendment. The amendment shall be effective as of 2017/07/04. |

2017 Annual General Meeting |

The Foundation Annual General Meeting, as in previous years, shall take |

place in the August monthly meeting. |

Your membership of the Foundation will continue until you fail to cast a |

ballot in two successive Trustee elections or you resign from the |

Foundation by sending a GPG signed email to trustees@g.o. |

The 2017 Trustee Election will be held over July & early August. |

Record Date: July 5th, 2017 (Bylaw Article III, Section 3.7). |

Nomination period: July 5th, 00:00 UTC - July 25th 23:59 UTC. |

Voting period: July 27th, 00:00 UTC - August 16th, 23:59 UTC. |

- Nominations MUST be made by posting to gentoo-nfp@l.g.o. |

- Nominations MAY be made by non-members of the Foundation. |

- Nominees MUST accept the nomination by posting to |

Trustees Qualifications, as per Bylaw Article V, Section 5.2: |

- Trustees need not be residents of New Mexico or of the United States. |
| 49 |
- Only Foundation members may be nominated. |
| 50 |
- Nominees must be an active Gentoo Developer as of the record date. |
| 51 |
- No individual shall serve as a Gentoo Foundation Trustee and Gentoo |
| 52 |
Council Member concurrently. |

You MUST be a foundation member as of the record date, July 5th, 2017, |

to vote in this election (there is still time to apply!). |

Trustees serve a two year term and part of the board retire by rotation |

every year. |

Vermeulen (swift) retire by rotation. There are thus three seats on the |

board to be contested. |
