3 Yes, I've tried going back to 6.8.0-r1, with NO success either.
4 Unfortunately, I have deleted the "patch" that I used before, and it
5 appears to have been "updated" since - no longer providing the success I
6 previously experienced - if in fact I found the correct patch the second
7 time. Compiling STATIC is not really an option because I would like to
8 use XF4VNC on :0, which is not possible when statically compiled. The
9 other major updates that occurred while I was on vacation where several
10 kernel updates r9 to r16, binutils updated to 2.15.0.94-1, gcc updated
11 to 3.4.3-branch, glibc updated to the Nov. version of 2.3.4.
