As those interested in kernel development know, 2.6.16 is a stable branch |

maintained continuously by Adrian Bunk. It's feature-frozen since 2005, but |

still patched against all applicable advisories. Therefore it's probably much |

more secure than current versions. |

Wouldn't it be nice (and easy) to have sys-kernel/hardened-sources made of |

2.6.16.60? |

If there's no big interest in it, I'll still prepare a version for me. A piece |

of my hardware got struck down by a regression in newer kernels, that's not |
| 13 |
likely to go away. |
