Just some updates on release. Sorry that I did not get back to you all |

sooner, but I was in NYC for LWE and a lot of things got away from me. |

First of all, catalyst is ready to go. We now have livecd building |
| 9 |
functionality, as well as a finalized GRP and stage solution. I will |
| 10 |
release a new set of (hopefully) final test stages early this week. I |
| 11 |
will also upload a set of GRP isos as well. |

I would also like to explore the creation of a preliminary hardened |
| 14 |
livecd. After I get the new test stages out, I will start work on a |
| 15 |
livecd solution that will provide the base for a number of livecd based |
| 16 |
hardened projects (think drop in firewall, WAP, pen-test CD, etc). |

The release date is being moved back to accomodate baselayout changes |
| 19 |
and test requirements. A final test Portage snap will probably be made |
| 20 |
around February 7th with a release 1-2 weeks later. Releng's goal is to |
| 21 |
release 2004.0 by the end of February. The rest of the releases for |
| 22 |
2004.0 will be on schedule as planned. The main holdup for .0 was |
| 23 |
getting catalyst ready. |
