fault. I placed the gentoo-dev-sources kernel experimentally on this machine |

and it seems to have precisely the same problem. |

I am investigating the cables and the IT Department nearly believed that it must |

be problem with their routing ;) |

PS. And I actually meant 2.6.7-r10 (hardened). The proper release number slipped |
