What BIOS version are you running? Mine is A02. I have just installed the |
4 |
2.6.16-r4 kernel on mine (with NVidia Quadro FX Go1400, 1920x1200) and even |
5 |
though the "suspend2ui_text -t" goes through the paces of writing to swap, |
6 |
(it shows on the screen the cute little text "thermometer" about writing |
7 |
caches) it doesn't do it ANYTHING. All I get is "Ack! SIG 2" when I hit |
8 |
Ctrl-C after it sits for a spell. |
9 |
|
10 |
When I boot it gives me the "Big Fat Warning". I complains that failed to |
11 |
translate /dev/sda1 into a device id. I don't know where I ought to be |
12 |
putting a device id. My lilo.conf has this: |
13 |
|
14 |
image=/boot/kernel-genkernel-x86-2.6.16-suspend2-r4 |
15 |
append="real_root=/dev/sda13 resume2=swap:/dev/sda1" |
16 |
|
17 |
I get the same results with the "hibernate" script, the only difference |
18 |
there is that I don't get the lilo kernel choice, just a reboot into the old |
19 |
kernel. |
20 |
|
21 |
My hibernate.conf has |
22 |
UseSuspend2 yes |
23 |
SuspendDevice swap:/dev/sda1 |
24 |
|
25 |
And I've never gotten it to suspend to RAM. |
