1 Wanted for Gentoo/MIPS Team:
2 An active person interested in assisting the Gentoo/MIPS Team in the following
3 area(s): Documentation.

5 Individual will be responsible for maintaining the installation documentation
6 and other documentation errata for the Gentoo/MIPS project. Individual does
7 not need to possess all types of MIPS hardware, however, at minimum,
8 individual must possess atleast one SGI MIPS system running Gentoo Linux.
9 Preferred system is Indy, Indigo2, or O2 for now. Ownership of a Cobalt MIPS
10 system is optional, but a plus. Individual will also need to possess
11 excellent English grammar and spelling skills, as the default language of a
12 majority of documentation will be in English. Knowledge of additional
13 languages and ability to compose documentation in them is a plus.

15 Individual will receive advice, feedback, and instruction for maintainence of
16 the installation documentation from the Gentoo/MIPS team, other Gentoo
17 developers, the Gentoo Documentation team, and from Gentoo/MIPS users.
18 Individual should proactively seek to summarize and incorporate this
19 information into the installation manual as time and ability permits so that a
20 modern, up-to-date installation manual is available for users. Individual
21 will also work with the Gentoo Documentation team to make sure correct XML
22 syntax is used in the installation manual and other errata, and will be
23 responsible for maintaining the relevant MIPS sections of the Gentoo Handbook.

25 All interested parties please email mips@g.o listing their relevant
26 experience, type of MIPS machine owned, small summary stating why they use
27 Gentoo, and a method to demonstrate an ability to write functional
28 documentation for the purposes of this project.
