I guess your answer was : |
2 |
set up a source mirror over http. |
3 |
|
4 |
I just set that up. |
5 |
I guess i get on the list by reporting the new service on bugs.gentoo.org. |
6 |
I will add it to the bug report of the server. |
7 |
|
8 |
Now, i was able to take a look at the var you where talking about. |
9 |
There are FTP servers int that VAR too. |
10 |
|
11 |
Does that means that you dont have to set up an http source mirror ? |
12 |
or is emerge-webrsync syncing over the ftp source mirrors too ? |
13 |
|
14 |
---- i have asked you that question in the last mail... |
15 |
|
16 |
my questions were so simple. |
17 |
There is emerge-webrsync which makes people behind a firewall able to sync |
18 |
there portrage tree. |
19 |
How do I have to set the mirror server in order to offer that ? |
20 |
How do I get onto the list of the servers which offer that? |
21 |
|
22 |
the answer would have been |
23 |
|
24 |
set up any kind of source mirror ( ftp or http ) |
25 |
|
26 |
I just try to get that right, just in case anybody searche the thread for |
27 |
simluar information. |
28 |
|
29 |
You have to keep in mind that there are mirrors which are only mirroring |
30 |
gentoo and not use it on there machines. Its important for them to know HOW |
31 |
to set up the mirror, not which information is stored where on the client box. |
32 |
or how you are able to maniuplate those settings. |
33 |
|
34 |
