Hi all

It's been a while since the first draft of the trademark license. The
previous discussion can be found at the GMANE archives [1]. As you might
still remember, we are in process of updating this license to accomodate to
the frequently asked questions regarding the name and logo usage and update
it so it is easier to understand.

As part of the previous discussion, I also checked if Gentoo e.V. (who holds
the trademark in Europe) would like to have a single, common license. As
there was no feedback (and currently the mailing list site for gentoo-ev
seems to be down so I can't confirm through its archives that I didn't miss
an answer) I've updated the document to reflect that the license is for
U.S.A. (and other countries using the U.S.A. trademark jurisdiction).

I also added in the link to the trademark license as published by Gentoo
e.V. [2] so that European people can easily find it.

The current draft can be found online at
http://dev.gentoo.org/~swift/tmp/gentoo-trademark.xml

Feedback is, as always, appreciated.

Wkr,
Sven Vermeulen
