off the top of my head, the only team that does this sort of flow is the docs |

team, and i've never particularly cared for it. i'd prefer we stick with |

using the INPROGRESS flag as our "lock" to avoid stomping on each other's feet |

as it's already part of the flow. if that doesn't work out, we can talk about |

alternatives. |
