The ebuild that dies is infact vim-core-6.1-r2 and not vim itself. Your |

right in that installing libtermcap-compat does indeed fix it. Strange |

thing is vim-core-6.1-r1 builds fine .. which means it has to be an |

upstream issue with one of the 201-215 patches. |
