Attempting to install Gentoo on G3 600MHz iBook with |

When I try to boot with "G3", I get the following message... |

"cd:2,/boot/G3: Unknown or corrupt filesystem" |

I had checked the md5sum of the iso after downloading and it was O.K. |

Should I be booting with the default G4? |

I tried booting with the default G4 and it boots O.K. however, getting |

the next stage of configuring the network fails. |

When I try running /sbin/ifconfig it only shows "lo" configuration. |

I was unable to find "net-setup" referenced in the on-line manual. |
