I'm not sure about suspend/resume, but for having the sound settings stick |

after a reboot, you need to have "alsa-utils" emerged (because the startup |

scripts use "alsactl" to save/restore the mixer settings). Go into root and |

do "which alsactl". If nothing is found, try "emerge alsa-utils" and see if |

it helps the situation any. |
